BMW 1985 745i Turbo

Presented for your approval;  one 1985 BMW 745i Turbo.  I am reducing the cars in my collection for domestic harmony.  I am making the assumption that if you are reading this, you know what an incredible and rare car this is.  I bought the BMW last summer from California, I flew in and drove it home to Colorado, and it is in better condition now.   You can fly in and drive it home as well.   I own three 745's.  I have found a home for one, leaving the best two.  This is my second best, the 1986 is simply stunning, it may be up for auction after this one sells, but it will be more expensive, it is almost perfect in all ways.  Anyway, the 1985 is gold with a faded tan interior.  The buffalo hide interior is in very good condition but needs to be stained to match the original darker tan color.  You can see the original color behind the armrests, under the piping, you know what I mean.  It is as straight as can be and RUST FREE!!  The car has a new center bearing support also.  It has a new battery and a recent transmission flush with new filter and an oil change.  It starts right up and drives fine.  The areas that still need attention are the muffler, it has a hole in it but sounds rich, the ABS light is on and the sunroof fabric is loose in one corner and needs to be mended.  The transmission was having trouble shifting so I had the "A" pack clutches in the transmission replaced and now it shifts as new.  As I own so many cars, I had to become a State of Colorado dealer, but this is a car from my personal collection.

I have taken enough photographs that it will almost be like you are examining the car in person.  Feel free to have your local agent like the local BMW dealer , examine the car for you.  I have no problem with that and nothing to hide.

If one picture is worth a thousand words, here are a few thousand words . . .

This is a rare and unique find for the Bimmerphile or classic car enthusiast or restorer. This is 99.9% pure rust-free example of a collectible 1985  European-only 745i sedan with the factory-equipped 252 horsepower turbocharged 3.5 liter inline fuel-injected six cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission. This "gray-market" car and has a clear title. Finished in champagne/gold over tan leather interior, this car has only 123,000 miles and is in quite original condition throughout. It currently sports a set of 16" BMW factory wheels though you may also choose EITHER the factory metric wheels or TRX Metric BMW Wheels with excellent tires. This car has the German gauge markings [converted to U.S. speedometer], electric sunroof and the desirable smaller chrome bumpers too.  It has many options, or as they say, it is loaded.  It has climate control, hydraulic suspension, all power everything including power REAR seats.  I drove the car from Oakland to Denver last summer without any problems, excepting for a speeding ticket in Wyoming.  You may fly in and drive it home as well, I did.  Or I can help arrange a transport.  It has the original Buffalo hide interior and a Sony CD AM/FM deck.  -Steven

My understanding is that the California Emissions check error is do to the need for a new muffler.  It is a gray market car and I do not know the California emissions laws.  I will install a new muffler on the car for you if like.  Potential California owners should check with local requirements for gray market vehicles.
